With 75 ski runs totaling around 3,400 vertical feet and just over 2,000 skiable acres, there are runs to challenge everyone, novices and experts alike. The mountain itself is well known and enjoyed for its constant, smooth pitch, which provides a fantastic skiing experience from top to bottom.

Bald Mountain receives around 230 inches of snow every year, and an average of three thousand skiers per day. The mountain includes plenty of lifts to accommodate all those visitors, with up to 19 lifts in operation and a total lift capacity of more than 26,000 (per skier, that’s more than any other ski area in the country!).

Bald Mountain has a current slope rating of 36% easiest, 42% more difficult, 22% most difficult. The mountain includes half a dozen separate areas, each featuring runs of varying challenge levels.

River Run slopes cover a wide range of experience levels, and include some challenging Olympic and Exhibition runs, as well as several runs for advanced skiers.

Seattle Ridge includes several well-groomed runs, most of which are designated as slow skiing areas.

The Bowls includes both simple and challenging runs, from the pleasantly simple Broadway Face to the much more difficult Little Easter Bowl.

Warm Springs is named for the hot springs which bubble at the lift’s base. This area is ideal for intermediate skiers who aren’t quite ready to hit the advanced slopes.

Half Pipe is a U-shaped area for skiers and snowboarders, around 425 feet in length, 40 feet wide, and around 18 feet high.

Dollar Mountain is the resort’s beginner area, providing novice skiers with a place to learn the ropes. With ten runs, around 628 feet of vertical rise, and friendly, professional instructors from the Sun Valley Ski and Snowboarding School, this is the perfect place for beginners.
